Explore the 1887 Eldridge Street Synagogue, the first great house of worship by Eastern European Jewish immigrants in the United States.
 
This magnificent National Historic Landmark has been lovingly restored and today is a touchstone of the Lower East Side immigrant experience. 

LIRR to Penn Station
From GN 10:20 am arrive Penn at 10:57 am
From Little Neck 10:23 am arrive Penn at 10:57 am
Walk to 6^th avenue for F to 2^nd Avenue stop then walk to Katz’s Delicatessen

Lunch at Katz’s Delicatessen, 205 E. Houston Street at 12:00 pm (pay your own way)
It will be a 20 minute walk to the Synagogue.
